The colored dots represent areas of confirmed collection of M.boeleni. The exact names and GPS coordinates have not been disclosed to help protect their whereabouts. Boelen’s pythons have a large distribution in New Guinea following the Jayawijaya mountain range and high elevation areas that reach 7,500-8,500 feet.
